Upon joining Cisco, I identified a need for cohesive and user-centered error and empty state messaging within the PX Cloud product, which had previously been written by engineers and suffered from inconsistencies and lack of clarity.
To address this, I created a comprehensive repository of error messages, rewriting each one to ensure consistency in voice, tone, and language. I prioritized clarity for the user, especially by providing actionable directions for any user-resolvable errors. This not only enhanced the user experience by reducing confusion and frustration but also improved internal efficiency, as engineers and content designers across teams could now access a well-organized and up-to-date log for reference.
I maintained this repository as a living document, continuously updating it to support product updates and ensure lasting impact.
